**DESCRIPTION**

As Team Leader, you are responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through product knowledge, merchandising and inventory control. In addition, this position is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing consistent operating conditions, and providing personalized, knowledgeable service in a warm, inviting store environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Store Manager with the day-to-day operations of the business with a focus on continuous improvement, inventory management, and employee development.
- Ensure that each customer receives excellent customer service by providing a friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, and solid product knowledge.
- Understand and support store operations, policies and procedures.
- Ensure adequate shift coverage to meet the needs of the business while managing labour budgets and timely reporting to payroll in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Ensure appropriate inventory stock levels are maintained to meet sales needs - ongoing, promotions and events.
- Assist in the management of in-store marketing including in-store promotions, social media communications, and E-Blasts.
- Coordinate in-store events as directed by the Store Manager (wine tasting, contest, promotions) with internal and external partners.
- Observe customers and check identification for proof of age; deny the sale of alcohol to underage or intoxicated customers.
- Notify Store Manager of team member theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property defacement or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**

**- **Ability to work independently and as a team
- Physical Requirements include
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Standing for long periods of time

**Qualifications include**:
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

A high school diploma or equivalent would be an asset but not mandatory

Strong oral, and verbal communication skills

Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

Interest or passion for wine, beer and spirits and the willingness to learn more.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $15.00-$15.75 per hour
