**Job Summary**:
The Warehouse Associate will support the purchasing team in a variety of areas relating to the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products according to company needs and customer requirements.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Work with vendors to identify most cost effective options available and may negotiate product costs.
- Manage and prioritize purchase requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Receive materials, perform inspection, and verify accuracy of received items.
- Ensure material is delivered accurately, where and when required.
- Distribute material in the plant, maintain and organize the storage room as required.
- Create and process purchase orders.
- Communicate updates to vendors and production team.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Input and maintain data in EPR system.
- Work with AP to resolve any discrepancies between the PO and vendor invoice.
- Follow up on deliveries and expedite materials as required.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Excellent organizational and planning skills. Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing plant including operation of a forklift and able to move some heavy materials (not greater than 50lbs)
- Proficient with inventory reporting systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

**Education and Experience**:

- 1-3 years of experience in purchasing and/or materials control
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good understanding of Excel and ERP systems (Epicor knowledge an asset)
- Forklift training

**Salary**: $42,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
