Family Ties Association is a dedicated non-profit organization that has been serving the families and children of Southern Alberta since 1990. Our mission is to empower individuals and families by providing them with the skills necessary for independence and success within their communities.

**Summary**

We are seeking a passionate Youth Worker to join our Summer Camp team at Family Ties Association. In this role you will help plan and facilitate summer programming aimed at strengthening, empowering, and supporting youth. The successful applicant’s role will be to work alongside colleagues and the program supervisor to deliver safe and appropriate programming during employment.

**Responsibilities**
- Plan, organize and implement appropriate activities for youth in and around the Lethbridge community.
- Work with youth with a wide range of needs including but not limited to, developmental delays, mental health concerns, trauma, etc.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for personal development.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience working with children and youth in a supportive role.
- Strong educational background or training in early childhood education or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to create engaging educational activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Commitment to promoting the well-being of individuals and families.
- Be between 18-30 years old and returning to school in the fall.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Must be able to obtain a clean criminal record check, and clean Intervention Record Check.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
