**ACCOUNT MANAGER**:
**OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE (EASTERN CANADA)**:
Composite Power Group / Énergie CPG Est has operated as an electrical utility sales representative for over 35 years. Our sales team takes the initiative to connect the suppliers in our portfolio with companies building the electricity grid. We focus on the sale of equipment for transmission & distribution lines, and substations, and we work with industry-leading manufacturers that are committed to innovation and to doing business in Canada.
We are a small company, but we have achieved a national presence, and we manage an extensive sales portfolio. We offer our team members independence and autonomy in decision-making, to develop long-term, trust-based partnerships with our customers and suppliers.
**Position**: Permanent, Full Time
**Compensation**: Base salary plus enrollment in the company profit-sharing program
**Location**: Metro Montreal is preferred
**Key Responsibilities**:
With the support of our manufacturing partners and other members of the Composite Power Group team:
- Develop business with target customers by being involved in the entire business cycle,
- Manage customer inquiries by collaborating with inside sales representatives (technical requests, requests for quotes and proposals),
- Prepare and manage larger proposals and contracts, ensuring both customer satisfaction and company interests,
- Establish long-term relationships and trust with our customers, partners and other team members,
- Resolve technical and commercial issues by cooperating with our manufacturers and other team members,
- Understand market pricing, competition, and the competitive environment,
- Ensure the timely follow-up of quotes and proposals submitted and negotiate prices if necessary,
- Contribute to a winning team environment through personal actions and commitment to company values.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or in a related field) or college diploma with equivalent work experience,
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in the Electric Utility Industry or other relevant experience,
- Technically sound, preferably with complimentary product experience (substation, transmission, distribution),
- Knowledge of various procurement channels (wholesale, distributor, direct order) within the Electric Utility Industry,
- Ability to analyze a single-line diagram preferred,
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, bills of materials, specifications and standards is preferred,
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and French,
- Ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated and well-organized,
- Demonstrated ability to build lasting customer relationships,
- Ability to adapt to business, market, and competitive environment changes,
- Existing customer or client relationships in the electric utilities, engineering firms and /or contractors in Alberta are considered an asset,
- Must have a home office from which to work, occasional office meetings in Montreal are required.
