Vacuum Truck Driver

As a Vacuum Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a vacuum truck to transport liquids, sludge, and other industrial materials. You will be required to perform routine inspections and maintenance, ensure that all safety protocols are followed, and provide excellent customer service on-site.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Safely operate vacuum trucks in various environments, including construction sites, industrial facilities, and municipal locations.
- Transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials (such as oil, wastewater, sludge, etc.) in compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to, including the proper handling of equipment and materials.
- Communicate with dispatchers and clients to coordinate job details and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including logs of materials transported, mileage, and maintenance.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, as required.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- Valid AZ or DZ driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience operating a vacuum truck or similar heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and safety standards (WHMIS, TDG) is an asset.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to handle the physical demands of the job.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
**Additional Requirements**:
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
- Must have a strong understanding of the local roads and traffic regulations
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $34.05-$34.06 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
