**Job Summary**
The Program Supervisor reports directly to the Executive Director. The main function in this post is to manage and mentor the staff within the Before and After School Program. The Program supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the team (across a number of locations) and is the primary liaison between the families and the organization. The BASP Supervisor will also be responsible for planning and overseeing a full summer camp program for 150+ children, including planning of trips, bussing, and daily curriculum. The Program Supervisor is responsible for assuring compliance with Orillia Central Preschool’s philosophy, policies, and procedures, the CCEYA and all other governing agencies’ requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide active involvement in the operation and delivery of the summer school age programs and BASP.
- Coordinates and establishes staff schedules. Ensures all centres are adequately staffed.
- Coordinates and establishes all centres student attendances and maintains waitlist
- Supports, fosters, and encourages the professional and personal growth of all staff members.
- **Assumes frontline responsibilities as required**.
- Ensure Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are followed.
- Responsible for administrative tasks involving timesheet preparation and supporting the Executive Director in performance management processes.
- Deals effectively with staffing issues and understands Human Resource Policies
- Role models appropriate behaviour techniques in all interactions with the children and monitor staff team for same
- Always demonstrates responsible behaviour and maintains high ethical standards.
- Participates in ongoing professional development and attends all mandatory training.
- Designing, planning and implementation of summer school age programs

**Requirements**:

- Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and a member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of related supervisory work experience within a licensed childcare setting
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR-C with AED training certifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Business management skills - data collection and report writing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging ministry directions and curriculum.
- A current and satisfactory Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is a requirement of the position
