Fleet Logistics Administrator

As a Fleet Logistics Administrator, you will have access to confidential information, and as such you must maintain strict confidentiality in performing your duties. It is Valard Construction’s policy to protect it’s trade secrets, customer lists, and other confidential or proprietary information as vigorously as possible.

**Requirements**:
KEY (CORE) DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Registrations and licensing
- Border Crossing Documents
- Transportation Permitting (oversized loads interprovincial)
- Record Keeping-Maintain accurate up to date records, especially related to border crossings
- Regulatory Compliance-ensure equipment is correctly Registered & Licensed to operate
- PM Schedules/Reporting
- Ensure all equipment/vehicles crossing border meet CBP requirements for entry including documentation, licensing & permits.
- Other administration duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years experience with imports/exports between the US & Canada, equipment focused and experience working with brokerage considered an asset
- College diploma or equivalent considered an asset, but not required

KSAs (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES):

- Excellent computer and organizational skills, including proficiency in excel
- Excellent communication skills, ability to interact in a professional manner, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- JDE knowledge considered an asset, but not required. Ability and desire to learn new systems and Valard specific processes.
- Must be able to work independently and as an effective member of a team
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail
- Work well under pressure, with excellent time management skills.
- Committed with a great work ethic, punctual and efficient
- Resourceful and takes initiative. Ability to track down information and find ways to improve systems and processes.
- Professional and positive attitude.
- Familiarity with Powerline Construction equipment, vehicles & heavy machinery considered an asset
