**How your role will add to the story**:
**A day in the life**:

- Litigation Management. Handle all forms of legal complaints and litigation files for claims across Canada, but primarily Product Liability matters. Obtain information and documentation, coordinate inspections of vehicles, and draft pleadings and other materials for Small Claims court proceedings. Prepare responses to subrogation demands. Instruct outside legal counsel regarding Superior Court and regulatory complaints; maintain internal records. (50%)
- Prepare, review and negotiate commercial agreements. This includes contracts with suppliers, RFPs and procurement agreements, and other related documents. (20%)
- Provide administrative support to the legal team, including tracking and requesting payments for accounts; standard internal recordkeeping. (10%)
- Organize and conduct research on various legal matters; respond to requests for information, including from various law enforcement bodies. (10%)
- Assist with routine annual corporate registrations via external counsel. (5%)
- Assist with drafting internal templates, process guides and other internal documents. (5%)

**Qualifications**:

Mercedes-Benz Fan skills, requirements & traits: *
- A diploma or degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 5 years as a Law Clerk or Paralegal within a law firm or large organization.
- Strong ability to balance conflicting priorities.
- Reliable, conscientious, detail-oriented and highly aware of the need to be meticulously accurate.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Beneficial to have: written and spoken French-language skills, experience within automotive distribution, or motor vehicle technical expertise.
- Bold, innovative and enjoy challenging yourself
