**Robotic Equipment Operator**
- Hourly rate of pay: $37.10 (fully qualified) - Must progress through 3 Learner stages at lower rates_

We have an** **opportunity for a **Robotic Equipment Operator** to join our production team at our facility in **CAMBRIDGE**, ON. Each member of our team plays a critical role in BWXT Canada’s success and in ensuring we meet our customers’ quality, cost and delivery expectations. Our Robotic Equipment Operators are considered the best in the industry and we are proud of the high level of technical skills they demonstrate every day.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
To set-up and operate robot welding and robot grit blasting equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Read and interpret Work Orders, Drawings, Shop Instruction Sheet (SIS), Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), Weld and Rod Cards.
- Plan and organize the Robotic Equipment Operator process; identify and verify workpiece material.
- Work in a safe manner.
- Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.
- Completion of Robotic course.
- Ability to perform manual welding and repairs to RT UT quality standards and in multiple processes.
- Perform basic fitting to a pre-established layout.
- Successfully completed an advanced welding program.
- **Testing for this position includes**:

- **A written robotic portion as well as a weld test: a manual 6G pipe, open root, GTAW root pass and SMAW fill and cap. Weld test will be RT evaluated.**
- Ability to read and understand/interpret drawings, specifications, operating procedures, work orders, etc.
- Basic level blueprint reading skills.
- Must be comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights and in awkward positions.
- Ability to pass fit-testing for the wearing of a respirator, if required.
- Must be available to work any of the following shifts:

- Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Mon - Thurs) OR;
- Afternoons: 4:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. (Mon - Thurs) OR;
- Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours).
