**Position Summary**

The Community & Social Services Summer Student will support individuals seeking information on social assistance, community programs, and life skills development. The student will assist in creating and maintaining both print and digital resources for community distribution, promote services to partner agencies and the public, and support the delivery of community-based programs. Additional responsibilities include attending team meetings, contributing to committee work, and performing other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Enrolled in post-secondary diploma program related to health promotion, social services or health and community services.
- Comfortable using computers, social media, and common software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Canva, or Google Workspace) for creating and managing electronic resources.
- Strong skills in communications, interpersonal relations, and conflict de-escalation are an asset.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, keep materials updated, and coordinate activities efficiently.
- Willingness to participate in team meetings and contribute positively to group initiatives and committee work.
- Takes proactive steps to contribute, promote services, and support ongoing projects with mínimal supervision.

Hours of work—primarily days; to include some evening, weekend work as required.

A competitive salary of $25.00 per hour and benefits (including HOOPP) are offered.
