**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Food Preparation**:
*Wash, peel, chop, and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients. *Portion, slice, dice, and marinate meats, fish, and poultry as per recipe requirements. *Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients for cooking according to recipes or chef instructions. *Assist with basic cooking tasks such as assembling salads, sandwiches, and other simple dishes.

**2. Kitchen Organization and Safety**:
*Maintain cleanliness and organization of food prep stations, tools, and equipment. *Ensure all food items are labeled, dated, and stored according to food safety standards. *Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to prevent cross-contamination.

**3. Inventory Management**:
*Assist with receiving and organizing food deliveries, inspecting for quality and freshness. *Monitor ingredient stock levels and report shortages to the kitchen manager. *Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory rotation practices to minimize waste.

**4. Team Collaboration**:
*Work closely with chefs and cooks to ensure timely preparation and service. *Respond promptly to kitchen needs during peak hours. *Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with additional tasks as needed.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:
**Experience and Certification**:
*At least **one year of experience** in food preparation or a similar kitchen role. *Must hold a valid **food safety certification** (e.g., ServSafe or equivalent).

**Technical Skills**:
*Knowledge of food preparation techniques, tools, and equipment. *Familiarity with food safety and sanitation best practices. *Ability to follow recipes and portion ingredients accurately.

**Soft Skills**:

- **Initiative**: Ability to identify and complete tasks without constant supervision.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to adapt to changes and assist in various kitchen tasks.
- **Organization**: Strong time management and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

**Physical Requirements**:
*Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment. *Capable of lifting and moving heavy items (up to 50 lbs). *Comfortable working in hot and noisy kitchen conditions.
