Exceptional specialized clinical care is provided to children in South Western Ontario from faculty committed to child health. **Responsibilities**: The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for carrying out a broad range of faculty and staff related functions within the human resources practice. The role provides support and acts as a resource for recruitment and appointments, on-boarding and orientation, payroll, workload, leaves, record maintenance, and report generation, with a primary focus on faculty. The role also provides coordination for relevant committees, including scheduling committee meetings, facilitating the creation of agendas, taking minutes, and disseminating agendas, information and action items. **Qualifications**: - Education: - University Bachelor’s Degree, with completion of professional courses in Human Resources preferred - Working toward CIM or CHRP designation is preferred - Experience: - Progressive experience of at least three years in Human Resources administration - Experience supporting the Human Resources function in a unionized setting - Experience in an academic/hospital setting or in the public sector is preferred - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a respectful manner with a diverse community of faculty and staff, co-workers and other stakeholders - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly, and adapt style and content for intended audiences in a professional manner - Knowledge of human resource principles and practices - Ability to work in a manner that models best practices in confidentiality standards - Customer service skills with a desire to achieve results in a professional and timely manner - Detail-oriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy - Ability and willingness to stay abreast of technological developments - Ability to employ a systematic and efficient approach to work - Adapts readily and effectively to changing priorities and demands - Ability to take responsibility for own work and ensure that deadlines are met and outcomes are achieved - Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, while being open to trying new ideas and working methods - Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, with database skills (e.g. PeopleSoft, OWL) **Western Values Diversity**: **Please Note**: Effective September 7, 2021, all employees and visitors to campus are required to comply with Western's COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
