**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring vegetables and proteins.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of low supplies.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety standards.
**Skills**
- Strong knowledge of food handling techniques and food safety regulations.
- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Basic cooking skills with a willingness to learn more advanced techniques as needed.
