**THE JOB: Coordinator, Event Management Office**

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $55,490 -$ 69,363

Reporting to the Manager, Event Management Office, the Coordinator, Event Management Office supports the event team members with the logístical organization of virtual and in-person events such as the All-Team Conferences, Representative Assemblies, Annual Awards & President’s dinner, Student or Resident Events, and/or Specialist Symposium. The coordinator streamlines logístical processes to increase efficiency and spread best practices. The coordinator develops and builds relationships across the entire organization and support the Senior Event Planners.

- Reviews department’s progress against established goals, objectives, service level targets, and project milestones.
- Supports others in achieving deliverables by efficiently allocating resources and providing common organizing systems, techniques, and disciplines.
- Maintains a proactive work review and approval process prior to assignment completion.
- Solicits internal and external customer evaluation of performance and devises measures for improvement.

- Conducts discussions with and writes memoranda to all levels of colleagues and peer groups in ways that support troubleshooting and problem solving.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- A Bachelor’s degree or a specialized post-secondary diploma in a related field with up to two years of related experience, or an equivalent level of related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education.
- Adept at balancing major concurrent tasks and projects, and working with internal and external parties in a coordinated manner
- Experience in marketing and communications with basic understanding of medical terminology considered an asset
- Proven experience coordinating conferences and event planning an asset
- Proven ability to respond to a wide variety of issues and deal with ambiguity and conflicting demands
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team
- Effective writing skills and proven ability to develop clear and concise communication. Demonstrated proficiency with PC based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
