**Equipment Operator - Class 3**

Oakpark Powerline Services is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator with experience working with Class 1 railroads, this position is responsible for supporting worksite goals primarily by operating heavy machinery. This position will work under the supervision of a designated site supervisor and alongside different trades, the ability to effectively communicate on site is essential.

This position is being hired for a project based out of Sprague, Manitoba.

**Job Duties**:

- Operate a variety of heavy machinery, including one or more of the following:

- Skidsteer
- Loader
- Digger
- Excavator
- Mini Excavator
- Backhoe
- Digger
- Tandem Dump Truck
- Utility Truck
- Operating machinery will be used to achieve a variety of results including trenching, digging, moving and hauling material
- Ability to secure special attachments to equipment
- Perform daily/routine maintenance, cleaning and safety checks on equipment
- Assist with manual labour as needed
- Drive company vehicles with a trailer
- Participate in creating and maintaining a safe work environment
- Maintain knowledge of operating requirements for hauling including: HOS, ELD, Seasonal Restrictions and Permitting requirements

**Requirements**:

- Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement (or equivalent) with satisfactory driver’s abstract is preferred
- Class 5 driver’s license with satisfactory driver’s abstract will be considered
- Experience working with Class 1 railroads an asset
- Familiarity with CROR an asset
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn and perform routine maintenance
- Able to work with little guidance an asset
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed an asset
- Additional requirement may vary by project

Oakpark Powerline is located on Highway 75, 5 miles south of St. Norbert.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
