We are looking for a Skilled Junior Carpenter with a solid foundation in construction and a passion for further developing their skills. As a Skilled Junior Carpenter at Ace, you will collaborate closely with experienced professionals, contributing to various construction projects while refining your expertise in the field.
- **Assist Senior Carpenters**: Collaborate with experienced carpenters to interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction plans.
- **Hands-On Expertise**: Utilize your construction knowledge to accurately measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials.
- **Structural Contributions**: Take an active role in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures under the guidance of seasoned carpenters.
- **Efficient Project Execution**: Work closely with team members to ensure projects progress smoothly and efficiently.
- **Safety First**: Adhere to and promote safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure work environment.
- **Organizational Skills**: Maintain cleanliness and organization within work areas.
- **Tool Proficiency**: Demonstrate familiarity with various carpentry tools, materials, and equipment.
- **Learning Attitude**: Display a genuine eagerness to learn, adapt, and tackle new challenges in the construction realm.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Skilled Junior Carpenter to join our team in Stouffville, Ontario, and contribute to our ongoing success.

**Responsibilities** Requirements**:

- Must be able to work from locations in Greater Toronto Area, ON**:

- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more without assistance**:

- Must be able to climb ladders (1-3 feet) throughout day**:

- Must be able to push/pull trailers/cabins up ladders as needed throughout the day (must have helper truck)**:

- Must be able to push/pull trailers/cabins up stairs throughout day (must have helper truck)**:

- Must be able to push/pull trailer down ladders (1-3 feet) throughout day (must have helper truck)**:

- Must be able to push/pull trailer down stairs throughout day (must have helper truck)**:

- Must be able to push/pull trailer down stairs throughout day (must have helper truck)**:

- Must be able to push/pull trailers down stairs throughout day (must have helper truck)**:

- Must be able to read tape measures & square tape measure as needed throughout the day (must have helper truck)**:

- Must be able to read & understand blueprints & drawings (must have helper truck)**:

- Must be able to cut material & lay out plans (must have helper truck)**:

- Must be able to use hand tools & power tools (power saws & grinders) as needed throughout the day (must have helper truck)**:

- Must be available for on call coverage when called in ( must have helper truck )**

**Salary**: $20.44-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Greater Toronto Area, ON (required)
