**Community Program Worker - Lawrence Heights Site 35 hours per week for 8 weeks, starting June 2025$17.20 per hour**

Unison Health and Community Services is a non-profit, community-based organization that serves neighbourhoods in Northwest Toronto. Operating out of six locations, Unison offers core services that include primary health care, counselling, health promotion, Early Years programs, legal services, harm reduction programs, housing assistance, adult protective services, Pathways to Education, and a Diabetes Education Program. Unison’s mission is working together to deliver accessible and high-quality health and community services that are integrated, respond to needs, build on strengths and inspire change.

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- 1. _Community Engagement and Outreach_
- Support outreach efforts in residential buildings, including private condominiums and Toronto Community Housing buildings to raise awareness of Unison’s programs and services. _
- Participate in community events and activities to build relationships and understand community needs._
- 2. _Website Content Support_
- Review and update Unison’s website to ensure program and service information is clear, current, and accessible._
- Work collaboratively with staff to gather and edit content (e.g. health programs, community initiatives, and events)._
- 3. _Group Program Support_
- Assist with the coordination and promotion of wellness group programs, including fitness classes and produce markets. _
- Provide on-site support to facilitators and staff during wellness sessions._
- Help track participation, gather feedback, and support improvements to program delivery._
- Engage residents in conversations about healthy living and help them connect with relevant resources._
- Relevant Qualifications _
- Interest in community health, communications, wellness promotion, or social services_
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills_
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team_
- Familiarity with Toronto’s diverse communities and an understanding of equity issues is an asset._
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
