**Job Duties & Accountabilities - Cook**
- Prepare food for daily attendees to the facility;
- Coordinate and facilitate daily/weekly/monthly menu. This process will include menu creation and development using cost effective, money saving techniques;
For example, buying in bulk & using time efficiency techniques;
- Prepare lists of needed items and order groceries;
- Receive, organize, rotate and discard of food items as required;
- Maintain an orderly and clean kitchen keeping within Health & Safety Guidelines and proper food handling regulations.
- Provide help to members using assistive devices as required;
- Maintain a professional manner at all times in the performance of duties;
- Provide members with meaningful companionship and safety;
- Participate in a rehabilitative approach to member care;
- Ensure the Club’s surroundings are clean, tidy and serviceable;
- Employ safe work practices at all times.

**Job Duties & Accountabilities
- Cleaner**
- Bathrooms - toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, restocking paper towels, toilet paper, soap;
- Kitchen - sinks, countertops, inside of the fridge and freezer, discarding spoiled or expired food, ensuring that appliances are not overloaded. For example, no freezer burnt items;
- Dishwasher filter cleaned;
- Ovens well maintained and cleaned inside and out;
- Pantry clean and organized;
- Drawers, cupboards cleaned and organized;
- Garbage’s emptied daily;
- Dishes done and put away daily.

**Physical Requirements**
- Must have sufficient ambulatory ability to stand, walk and demonstrate activities for intermittent and extended periods of time;
- Must be able to set up and take down activities as required;
- Must be able to complete repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs) on a regular basis;
- Must maintain the ability to make fast, logical decisions;
- Must have sufficient arm, hand, and finger dexterity to demonstrate physical activities and use a computer keyboard and other office equipment.

**Educational and Experience Requirements**

**-**Minimum Grade 12 education from a recognized institution;
- Minimum 2 years related kitchen experience in a recreational setting;
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate;
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate an asset;
- Intermediate skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Demonstrated customer service skills and a solution-based approach to problem solving;
- Proven interpersonal skills appropriate to build positive rapport with various sources and the ability to professionally represent the organization;
- Experience working with marginalized populations and bringing an equity, diversity, and inclusion analysis;
- Promotion of a cooperative working environment;
- Some evening or weekend work for special events and meetings as required;
- Strong communication and good organizational skills;
- Good judgement, adaptability and willingness to work;
- A satisfactory Criminal Police Check - Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Ability to self-direct and work in an evolving and fluid environment;
- Demonstrated initiative and assertiveness;
- Ability to meet multiple priorities in a timely and efficient manner;
- Valid “G” class Ontario Driver’s License and proof of current insurance;
- Ability to speak French is an asset.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.84 per hour
