**REQUIRED**: We are looking for Housekeeper/Care Aid with the following requirements.
Annie’s Place provides home support services in Lower Mainland. We provide care for seniors, people with disabilities, families taking care of elderly parents and children, respite care, post-operation, and transition support (home to assisted living to hospital to long-term care).
***: Provides home support services to clients, such as assisting with activities of daily living, planning, and preparing meals, housekeeping, meds assist, showers and companionship.
**Job description: We are looking for Housekeeper/Care Aid who will be working in Burnaby.**
Below are the following requirements.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow Care Plans and maintain accurate client records utilizing the appropriate documentation
- Maintain effective relationships with clients promoting physical and emotional independence
- Clear understanding of the accountability and expectations that are associated with transferable skills/delegated tasks
- Effectively communicate changes in the client condition to your supervisor and maintain effective relationships with other team members
- Proactively identify, promote and seek to improve client safety as part of your everyday work, and seeks support from the Nurse Supervisor for responding to medical and ethical dilemmas
- Perform housekeeping using established procedures
- Cleans areas such as floors, stairways, window and walkways by methods such as sweeping, spot washing and damp mopping
- Vacuuming, brushing and cleans items such as furniture, woodwork, ledges, and blinds by methods such as dusting, polishing and wiping
- Cleans and disinfects washrooms and replenishes items such as soap and paper towels
- Empties and cleans waste containers
- Cook for the client
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Health Care Assistant / Residential Care Aide Certificate, or equivalent experience and training is required
- Must be registered with the BC Care Aide registry 2-3 years of care aid assistant experience is required
- Have care knowledge of dealing with caring for someone with a concussion recovery
- Have housekeeping experience 1-2 years
- A current Criminal Reference Check
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written) and exercise good judgment is required
- Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms may be required
- Ability to perform lifting and bending when assisting clients may be required
- Access to own vehicle - valid driver's license is an asset
- European background is an asset
- Additional language would be an asset Italian, Tagalog, Spanish, German, French, English, Hindi etc.
**Job Type**:
- Pay: $380 - $400 per day - depending on experience (Benefits will be available after 3 months of probation)
- Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
- Time: 24 hours
- Support Care: 2 year+ (preferred)
- Work location: Burnaby
