Do you love working with children and youth? Do you love helping the animals of Ottawa? Then help the Ottawa Humane Society get their outreach programming back on track We are looking for a enthusiastic individuals with great customer service and organizational skills to help organize and facilitate our outreach programs.

This is a casual opportunity without a set weekly schedule. Schedules are create based on your availability and organizational needs. **Needs are typically on evenings, weekends, PA days, etc.** There may be an opportunity for full time hours during March break and the summer.

**What would you do?**
- Host and facilitate events for children and youth
- Lead educational activities, entertainment and games
- Conduct tours of the Ottawa Humane Society
- Plan, set up and take down of decorations and equipment
- Schedule volunteers and animals with the appropriate staff and managers
- Communicate with parents and children in a professional way
- Supervise children and child-animal interaction
- Ensure animals and children safe at all times

**What are we looking for?**
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 months experience working with children and youth
- Experience with giving tours or facilitating group activities
- Complete and maintain standard first aid and CPR certification (training will be provided if necessary)
- Animal handling experience preferred
- Professional Bilingualism (English/French) is preferred
