Community Inclusion Supervisor

Full Time Community Inclusion Supervisor At BACI, Community Inclusions supervisors promote an environment in which people are enabled to pursue activities in the community based on individual interests, gifts and defined goals. This role supports people with developmental disabilities to become valued and included members of the community through the direction and supervision of staff and engagement with people supported and their network. This position works as part of a team. **Position: Regular Full-Time Community Inclusion Supervisor** **Location: Richmond/Steveston - Community Based **Salary: $33.77/hour** **Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday as per schedule** **Qualifications**: - This position requires previous experience supporting people in community inclusion settings. 3-5 years’ experience in direct program delivery in the community social service sector. Previous administrative and supervisory experience required. - A bachelor’s degree or Community College diploma in Human Services or related field - and equivalent of education and experience may be considered. - A valid unrestricted class 5 BC Driver's License required. Use of personal vehicle is required. **Knowledge and Skills**: - Ability to provide direct support to the people served while training, supporting, evaluating and coaching staff to work successfully in the community. - Knowledge of the principles of person-centred supports, positive behaviour supports, communication supports and proven ability to implement and provide on-going evaluation and subsequent revision of support plans. - Understanding of the changing needs of people and the ability to implement plans which are responsive to those needs. - Proven ability to dialogue, plan, interact positively and work collaboratively internally with all levels of the organization and with people supported, networks, external professionals. - Commitment to on-going quality improvement and good organizational skills. Ability to orient, train, coach, lead and evaluate staff performance, manage budgets, organize schedules, complete payroll duties, and document appropriately. Must be comfortable with ADP Workforce Now, Time and Attendance and able to process timecards. - Must have initiative, conflict resolution skills and good written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of computers required. - Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team.
