**The opportunity for you**
The Supply Chain Department is an integral part of the company. Supporting the production process and brand growth goals, Supply Chain ensures the right inventory is at the right place at the right time.
This position takes on all aspects of sourcing production inputs (packaging and ingredients) for the AG Care brand. A typical day is spent managing purchase orders, planning ahead, mitigating risk, building relationships, managing costs and logistics. Superior time management, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills are needed to excel in this position. You are a self starter who triple checks their work and works towards a day without drama.
**You’ll be responsible for**
- Acting as the key point of contact between suppliers and AG
- Mitigating organizational exposure to risk existing within the supply chain, natural disasters, vendor product line strategies, transportation capacity, and resource diversion to other industries
- Negotiating and managing all aspects of procurement, quote retention and price tables
- Managing and recommending inbound logistics carrier selection
- Tracking all procurement and inbound logistics costs and set standard costs annually in collaboration with Finance Department
- Seeking out opportunities to drive out unnecessary expenses, movements and handling
- Collaborating and communicating promptly with Production, R&D, Marketing and Finance to ensure production scheduling, sampling and product launches are completed on a timely manner
**What you offer**
- Combination of 5 to 10 years of education and experience in Supply Chain Management
- Experience in consumer-packaged goods and progressive manufacturing industries such as pharmaceutical, nutraceuticals, cosmetics or food
- Ability to work independently and constantly improve systems
- Strong problem-solving and computer skills with excellent attention to detail
- Well developed interactive skills (oral and written communication)
- Completion of a diploma in materials management (eg: PMAC CPP Diploma) an asset
- Interest in growing and improving methods of sustainability
