Intelligence Solutions Consultant

The purpose of the Intelligence Solutions (IS) Consultant is to provide consulting services, expertise and training that assists in the generation of sales and revenue for the dealership. IS Consultants will support ongoing Precision Ag mainstreaming by providing customer solutions, and supporting the sale of value-added services, IS products and linking the customer’s agricultural needs with their equipment. You will work with all dealership departments to support any sold precision farming products to producers in the trade area.
**Key Performance Areas**:
- Responsible for performing Intelligence Solutions work throughout the entire designated Region [4 Regions R1-SC, KY,MC, SH; R2-KD, LD, UN, NB; R3-HB, KV, PR, WY, KA, SR; R4-YK, MO, BA, RU]
- Interpret weather station data for assigned regional weather stations
- Maintaining current knowledge of the latest John Deere equipment and technology, including short line & large ag equipment
- Creating and delivering, to all demographics on the farm, customer clinic events and materials, building off current process for delivery of events and improving upon that
- May assist in field start up with optimization and sales team, when required (i.e.: new sales staff, filling gaps when TM’s are unable to)
- May assist in delivering demonstrations, in conjunction with the IS optimization and sales team to ensure appropriate equipment is demonstrated, ensure that equipment is field ready before and after demo
- Tracking, reporting and recording of time spent providing the various duties of the role (i.e.: IS processes, delivering field demos, or field start ups, etc.)
- Assist in training for all staff
- Coordinate the execution of precision Ag strategy
- Install, maintain, and support customer and company owned Field Connect systems
- Support and maintain customer data management products
- Provide solution-based customer consulting services, optimizations, precision services, AMS products
- Be engaged in building/maintaining a constructive work environment within the team, branch and organization
Critical Capabilities:
- Ability to work flexible hours, varying shifts, weekends and holidays if necessary (during the growing season it is expected that you will be available to work additional hours or days in order to meet the farmer customer’s needs)
- Ability to travel
- Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers
- Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience in the field of agriculture, or an agricultural-related role
- Dealership sales, service, training or other related work experience
- Knowledge and familiarity with the technology utilized in today’s agriculture environment
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills, in one-on-one and group situations
- Ability to teach and talk publicly in a training event
- Knowledge and comfort level in using MS Office suite of products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
