We are seeking a Casual Clinic Assistants and Receptionists to support our Ontario based clinics.

**Job Summary (Clinic Assistant)**

As a Clinic Assistant you will perform clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of a physician and direction of the physician and/or Clinic Manager to assist in patient care and administration.

**Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to**
- Greeting and registering patients
- Scheduling appointments
- Well baby checks (head circumference/weight and length) record in EMR
- Adult height/ weight and blood pressures (automated machine)
- Coordinate patient care through the clinic, exam room and lab
- Venipuncture (certification required)
- Interview patients to complete intake forms or other documents
- Assist patients complete medical history forms
- Under supervision and direction of a physician, simple wound management
- Prepare exam rooms; select, setup and maintain medical supplies and equipment for all examinations and procedures
- Clean and sterilize exam rooms, materials and instruments and disposing of contaminated supplies or equipment
- Check inventory and assist with ordering of medical supplies and materials
- EMR documentation/medical record maintenance
- Billing and coding
- Complete insurance and other claim forms
- Assisting with call backs, referrals, scanning, faxing, paper clipping and filing
- Assisting manager, nursing and reception staff as required
- Adhere to all Health & Safety Regulations
- Attend and make contributions at clinic meetings and training sessions

**Qualifications (Clinic Assistant)**
- High school diploma in addition to a Medical Clinic Assistant and/or OSMT Lab Tech from an accredited school.
- Phlebotomy certification required.
- Experience in EMR-Accuro considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
- Clinical Setting Background/Non-Hospital experience an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative model.

**Job Summary (Receptionist)**

Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Receptionist is the first point of contact for all patients, staff, and the public. With excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail, the Receptionist provides support to patients, physicians, and the clinic team in a caring manner while maintaining confidentiality.

Reporting to the Clinic Manager, the Receptionist duties will include:

- Manage the front desk/reception operations, acting as the first point of contact for patients, physicians, and clinical care team,
- Oversee and order office supplies, anticipate requirements, stock supply stations.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications (Receptionist)**
- Medical administration diploma from a post-secondary institution is an asset.
- Must have 1 - 2 years’ experience in an administrative assistant within a healthcare environment.
- Accuro EMR experience is an asset and use of technology efficient.
- Proven administrative experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
- Clinical Setting Background/Non-Hospital experience an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative model.
