We are seeking an Education Director who is empathetic, respectful of our values, and dedicated to promoting education within our community.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Develop and implement educational strategies and initiatives aligned with the community objectives.
2. Manage the community's K-12 and other educational institutions, ensuring they provide high-quality education.
3. Oversee curriculum development, ensuring it is culturally relevant and meets the needs of our community.
4. Work with community leaders and stakeholders to identify educational needs and opportunities.
5. Advocate for the educational needs of our community in wider educational settings.
6. Report to community leadership and provide decision support through educational metrics.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

8. Liaison with The First Nations Educational Directorate and other agencies as required; including but not limited to information sharing, attending meetings and understanding legislative changes, strategy and policy.

**Requirements**:
1. Proven working experience in educational leadership or a related field.
2. Deep understanding of and respect for First Nations cultures and traditions.
3. Knowledge of educational principles and best practices.
4. Ability to strategize and problem solve.
5. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the community.
7. In-depth knowledge of educational strategies and policy.
8. Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, a related field or demonstrated core competencies.
