Foxwood Building Corporation is currently hiring a Vice President of Real Estate Development with extensive knowledge and experience in real estate development, particularly with regards to building strategic partnerships with Mainland Chinese developers and investors. **Vice President of Real Estate Development**
**Position Overview Type**: Full-time, permanent
**Title**: Vice President of Real Estate Development (NOC 0016)
**Working hours**: 35 hours/week
**Working location**:759 Hyde Park Rd., Suite 252, London, Ontario N6H 3S2
**Salary**: $52.00 - 54.00/hour

**Duty Description**:

- Develop corporate strategy for maintaining and expanding the company’s real estate development projects and services in the Mainland China market
- Identify potential strategic partners including Chinese real estate developers, construction and engineering companies, financial partners and investors
- Identify residential and commercial real estate projects that align with Foxwood’s strategic plan, while meeting the goals and requirements of Chinese investors and partners
- Create, oversee and manage a department to manage these projects and partnerships, identify relevant talent and hire/oversee key staff
- Create forecasts, budgets and financial controls, and coordinate project costing between the company and Chinese partners in co-development projects
- Act on behalf of the company in meetings and presentations, and promote the company to key players in the industry in China. Promote and negotiate transactions with Chinese partners
- Work closely with other members of the executive team to manage, plan, design, and build new residential and commercial real estate projects that meet the needs and expectations of partnered Chinese developer, engineering, financial and investor firms
- Advise and guide the company to ensure effective communication and manage Chinese partners’ expectations
- Review and report on all aspects of Chinese co-development and investment projects, including planning, finance and costing, engineering and construction ensuring that projects are complete according to plan, on budget and on time

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Degree or diploma in construction, architecture or similar, or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years’ experience in Chinese real estate development in a senior management capacity
- 7-10 years’ experience in construction planning, project management, project costing and scheduling, financial forecasting, and quality management
- 7-10 years’ experience in raising capital for real estate development projects
- In-depth knowledge of the Chinese real estate development industry and the detailed issues related to investment in real estate projects, including project timelines, costing, projections and tracking, project management, financial analysis and return on investment
- Extensive network and relationships with Chinese real estate developers, construction and engineering companies, financial institutions/companies and investors
- Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin to clearly communicate with strategic partners on both the financial and technical sides
- Goal-oriented and strategic thinking with outstanding leadership and management qualities
