McRae's is looking for a F/T server

You will be expected to work in a professional manner, being flexible, dynamic, proactive, and enthusiastic and should have sound communication skills to ensure customers receive outstanding service, always with a smile.

You will be expected to:

- Welcoming customers
- Providing knowledgeable and creative drink and food recommendations
- Ability to work well alone and the ability to handle servering and making of drinks
- Keeping the bar stocked by replacing empty bottles and kegs of beer
- Cleaning the bar, washing glasses and wiping down surfaces
- Taking cash or card payments from customers
- Taking a lead role on the service team
- Verifying the age and checking the identification of potential customers
- Work well within the team, communicating effectively with all necessary team members to ensure customers receive the highest level of service.
- Receive instructions courteously, showing respect to your superiors and fellow colleagues.
- Respond to the dynamics of the service environment, being proactive at quiet times whilst anticipating and meeting the needs of the fast-paced restaurant environment
- Use the point of sale (Silverware) to place customers orders.
- Ensure guests are given prompt, friendly and efficient service from the moment they enter the restaurant and ensure their expectations are consistently exceeded
- Ensure the Bar area is tidy, and ready for service. This includes a clean, tidy and fully stocked station.
- Ensure all cleaning and closing-down procedures are completed to a high standard at the end of every evening.

**Duties**:

- Greeting and seating customers
- Taking, confirming orders and relaying to the kitchen or bar staff
- Serving food
- Serving alcohol
- Busing, cleaning, and resetting tables
- Answering phone calls
- Placing to-go orders
- Preparing bill and processing payment
- Cleaning duties such as stocking, sanitizing, sweeping floors, washing dishes
- Reconciling daily cash transactions

Part-time hours: 35-40 per week

**Salary**: $15.65 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
As of march 5th 2021 we are taking customer contact information at the door. All staff must wear masks and sanitizer is provided throughout the restaurant. All of our seating is socially distanced at 6 feet and we have a worksafe workplace safety plan.
