Classification: Based on MFN grocery store pay grids

Employment Status: Regular Part-time (Subject to a three-month probationary period)

**Reporting Relationship**:
This person will be responsible for carrying out the duties of the position while maintaining a friendly and energetic demeanour with good customer service skills.

**Position Summary**:
The Deli Clerk will report directly to the Grocery Store Manager

**Essential Functions**:

- Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, store policies, and other programs and initiatives
- Create sandwiches, subs, pizzas hot foods, and desserts
- Process meat/deli orders
- Ability to complete and learn all applicable training programs and standards
- Perform program execution and merchandising of product
- Organize Deli/Bakery retail section

**Qualification & Requirements**

**Preferred**:

- Previous experience working within a grocery/retail environment is a strong asset
- High school diploma or equivalency
- WHMIS, Food Handler’s Certification, Health and Safety Certificate, Customer Service Training Certificate
- Have knowledge and/or experience with Anishnaabek culture, history and customs
- Understanding and fluency of Anishnabemowin is a strong asset
