**Responsibilities**:
PRIMARY PURPOSE

Leads the development of the over-arching strategy and framework for psychological health and wellness initiatives and programs to support and foster a psychologically healthy and safe workplace. Oversees design, development and implementation of plans, initiatives and programs to promote a psychologically healthy and safe workplace at TransLink. Works collaboratively with key stakeholders at operating companies in providing support and guidance on physiological health and wellness programs and initiatives in alignment with existing framework.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Leads the development of the over-arching strategy and framework for psychological health and wellness incollaboration with senior leaders across the enterprise to support development of aligned programs at operating companies.

Leads the design, development and implementation of plans, initiatives, and programs to promote a psychologically healthy and safe workplace at TransLink.

Provides senior level expertise and support on psychological health and wellness practices and leadership on approved psychological health and safety polices and framework, aligned with the Psychological Health & Wellnessin the Workplace National Standard and other industry standards. Identifies and evaluates programs, policies and workplace practices that may affect psychological health and wellness.

Develops, implements and monitors programs and its effectiveness in compliance with policies, regulations and accepted standards, principles and practices at TransLink ensuring the design and delivery, addresses gaps and emerging business needs. Advises management on changes and improvements to policies and procedures.

Responsible for the management of risk and ensuring risk mitigation plans and strategies are in place and reported.

Works collaboratively with key stakeholders at operating companies in providing support and guidance on the existing physiological health and wellness programs and initiatives in alignment with existing framework and supports implementation of the necessary controls to identify and mitigate risks and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

Delivers training to senior management on legal and regulatory requirements. Manages the promotion of mental and psychological health and wellness programs at TransLink including crisis response processes, to ensure ongoing employee awareness.

Develops approach in assessing program effectiveness at TransLink monitoring program development and performance in addressing the business and regulatory needs. Assesses the impact of current trends and practices on business plans, prepare and present recommendations, reports and communications to senior management and
other key stakeholders.

Participates as a member in various joint steering committees, working groups and processes, providing expertise and guidance to ensure compliance with Psychological Health & Wellness in the Workplace National Standard and other industry standards.

Proactively researches best practice, trends and methods in psychological health and wellness management. Proactively identifies, prioritizes, and recommends strategic process improvement opportunities to help enhance programs and services.

Manages reporting staff, including recruitment, selection, development, coaching, performance management and other people management practices. Develops department goals and work plans, implementing processes and procedures, and leading optimized service delivery, while overseeing the department budget.

**Qualifications**:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
The requirements for this job are acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in organizational psychology, organizational behavior or a health science related discipline, plus achievement of the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or equivalent, and seven (7) years of related experience at progressive levels of responsibility in a unionized environment and
