Join our team as a **Staffed Home Coordinator**at our 64th staffed home in North Delta. This permanent full-time role works 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday 10:00am - 5:00pm), at a salary range between **$33.77 - $38.77**per hour, plus benefits, including Extended Health and Dental and participation in the Municipal Pension Plan. This position requires union membership.

**About the Opportunity**:
As a full-time Staffed Home Coordinator, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a staffed home, provide ongoing supervision of staff and participate in the evaluation of program policies and procedures. The Staffed Home Coordinator will ensure the home is operated in a way that is consistent with the Society and Community Living BC policies and procedures and addresses any questions or concerns from families and other interest holders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervising, providing leadership and annual evaluations of employees and ensuring smooth daily operations;
- Assisting in the recruitment and selection of staff and providing guidance, training and orientation on policies, procedures, behavioral support plans and best practices;
- Ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to and identifying potential emergency situations, analyzing situations accurately and developing strategies to deal with such situations;
- Ensuring that the individual(s) served actively participate in the development of their own outcomes; and acting as a communication and problem-solving liaison between individuals, family members, advocates, professionals and other interest holders;
- Participating in planning and ensuring compliance to client plans, participating in case conferencing, and case management with employees and families;
- Responding to emergency situations which may involve being available outside of regular working hours (including evenings, weekends and overnights);
- Ensuring the completion of personal service plan for individuals and the preparation of related documents and reports.
**Qualifications**:
- Certificate/diploma/degree in a field related to Human Sciences;
- 2- 5 years practical experience working with persons with developmental disabilities; AND experience in a supervisory role;
- Restricted Class 4 Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 3 months;
- FOODSAFE Level 1 AND Emergency First Aid & CPR Certificates
- Must be physically healthy to aid in lifting and transferring of persons served and be able to provide personal care including toileting and grooming.
- Must have flexibility including evenings, weekends and overnights required in emergency situations.
