Toronto, Canada CT Real Estate Full time

**Help us boldly shape retail in Canada**

Canadian Tire Corporation’s (CTC) rich heritage of serving Canadians from coast-to-coast dates back to 1922. Our vision is to become the #1 retail brand in Canada and we are focused on innovating and making important investments in our business, especially when it comes to our people. To reach our goal, we need the best talent to help us evolve and drive change across the business - and boldly help shape Canada’s retail industry. As we strive to be at the forefront of a complex and vastly changing retail industry, it is an exciting time to join the Canadian Tire family of companies.

The Real Estate Sales Forecasting team supports the Real Estate group by providing insight, analytics and data in support of Real Estate capital investment decisions. Using a unique set of analytical tools and data, the Market Analyst is responsible to create sales forecasts, cannibalization estimates, long term market plans and demographic analysis to support recommendations for the best use of capital across the store network. Reporting to the Manager, RE Sales Forecasting, the Market Analyst will provide support to regional development teams as required while also working collaboratively with other members of the Forecasting team and the Market Analysis team to develop new tools and models in support of the above functions.

At Canadian Tire we work flexibility embracing ‘Hybrid’ whereby individuals utilize a combination of working at a CTC campus and or virtually in service of outcomes. Determined by managers, decisions around work location will be made based on business and team needs and grounded in a desire to support individual well-being and personal needs. Our goal is to empower teams and individuals to make the right decisions for them, and we expect that to look different for everyone.

**What you’ll do**
- Develop specialized market and location analyses which include detailed sales forecasts, cannibalization estimates, competitor analysis and demographic analysis in support of all real estate capital investment decisions
- Assist in the creation of national, regional and market specific long term real estate strategies by incorporating current and future store performance, long term demographic and macro-economic forecasts, future residential developments and long term changes to the physical retail landscape
- Assess historical project performance vs. plan and post audit previous analyses to undercover opportunities to increase accuracy and efficiencies
- Prepare content and visuals to explain sales forecasts and related analysis for monthly Real Estate Meeting cycles
- Present reports and analysis to Manager, RE Sales Forecasting; AVP, FP&A Decision Support; and various stakeholders in the organization

**What you bring**
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Geography, Analytics, Data Science, Business, Urban Planning, Math & Statistics or another degree combined with relevant work experience
- 1-3 years providing sales forecasts, cannibalization estimates, market plans/network strategies or customer analytics for a major retailer or consultancy group
- A working knowledge of the ESRI suite of GIS software; map creation, cartographic skills, and standards
- Knowledge and experience in data preparation, data analysis, and statistical tool sets including but not limited to Knime, SQL, and Power BI
- A proven track record of prioritizing and managing multiple projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced deadline driving environment
