Customer Service Representative

**Overview**

The Customer Service Representatives are responsible for the daily operation of our Kids Playzone facility. Employees are responsible for a variety of tasks such as greeting customers upon arrival, ensuring all information is complete on our Waiver, as well as administering wristbands to the children and their Guardians accordingly. The Employee may be expected to help in other departments and facilities such as the Westhills Ice Arena and Outdoor Rink (Seasonal). Each Employee is responsible in the upkeep and cleanliness of the Playzone Facility and providing great customer service to our customers.

**TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Customer Service: Every position in the Playzone facility involves interacting with customers ranging from children to adults and other Employees.
- Greeting customers that enter Playzone hosting birthday parties and interacting with children and helping parents, interacting with patrons who enter and exit our facility
- Entering food and beverage orders for customers and delivering orders from City Centre Grille to Playzone
- Ensuring that all children and their Guardian have signed to the Waiver prior to their entrance.
- Ensuring that each child receives a bracelet according to the numeric system of our Waiver and that each child’s number is written clearly on their respective Guardian.
- All Employees must ensure that the rules are being followed (no outside food, socks must be worn in the play structure, no climbing up slides, no rough housing, no bullying, etc.) in a courteous and respectful fashion to ensure the safety of all guests
- Completing and filling out the Communications Binder/ Daily Maintenance Binder that consists of a check list for the daily cleaning tasks.
- Act as the First Aid attendant for any customer or employee injuries that may occur, providing prompt first aid and filling in the appropriate incident reports thoroughly (Basic First Aid is a requirement for all Customer Service Representatives of City Centre Park)
- Regular duties include but are not limited to: signing in children and Guardians for admission into Playzone, cash handling transactions and birthday party payments, upkeep and cleanliness of the facility and equipment(s), rotating stock, signing in party guests, administering wristbands, and ensuring the safety of all customers.

- Each employee pays attention to the reservation details on birthday party bookings to ensure each booking runs smoothly. Each employee is also fully aware of the bracelet numbering system when dealing with customers and ensures the policy is implemented.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:Work is performed in the Playzone facility, Eagle Ridge Community Centre, or West Hills Ice Arena. Employee tasks include lifting items, pushing and operating vacuums, and cleaning throughout the structure, as well as, light sweeping and mopping of the cleaning duties for the Playzone. This job requires shift work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays fluctuating with the needs of the facilities.

Pay: From $17.40 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 30 per week

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
