We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Market Development Specialist. This role can be based in **Oakville, Vancouver or Denver** and reports to the **Applications Engineering Manager.**

**Job Summary**
- The primary objective is to develop the thermoplastics hydromechanical grease interceptors (HGI) market, through execution of strategies based on market feedback, code acceptance, engineering expertise and contractor preference.
- The position requires the incumbent to be a market strategic liaison between, IPEX, and: Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), Contractors, Applications Engineers, Food Service Establishments (FSE), sales staff, product development, and wholesalers.
- The position requires the incumbent to investigate and analyze new business opportunities for the aforementioned products, including the pursuit of FSE chain corporate approvals.

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Provides training, guidance, and assistance concerning HGI’s to Contractors, AHJ’s, FSE’s Applications Engineers and Sales Staff, to obtain market acceptance and favorable specifications to increase sales opportunities.
- Interacts with internal departments, such as Customer Service, Legal, Innovation & Marketing, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Operations; regarding pricing, training, product manufacturing, literature, litigation, product enhancements, product design, and market specific products
- Ensures accurate information is effectively disseminated and good cooperation is maintained between departments.
- Conducts code and product training at industry shows and events.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with wholesalers and reps in conjunction with our U.S. based agents.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications & Experience**
- University Degree in Business or Management is required.
- 2-5 years of technical sales or technical support experience in a relevant industry is required.
- A Bachelors Degree in Engineering Science, or a P.Eng is preferred.
- Experience with design plans and codes and standards compliance is preferred.
- Must be comfortable with travelling approximately 40 nights per year.
