Securiguard is looking for a skilled **Billing and Receivable Specialist** to join the finance team in our offices located in Burnaby.

Billing and Receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting invoices.

This is a full-time position with extended health and dental benefits.

Start date: As soon as possible

**The Day to Day**
- Complete billing for weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly & monthly clients
- Process work orders and set up job codes
- Liaise with internal departments regarding client billing issues
- Communicate with clients and resolve billing discrepancies
- Keep track of costs and billing for large projects
- Prepare weekly AR Aging reports
- Send payment reminders and account statements to overdue customers
- Follow up payments with a consistent effort
- Respond to customers inquiries in a timely manner
- Cross train in Accounts Payable
- Work collaboratively with other members on the Finance Team. This may include sharing duties, providing coverage, and adjusting responsibilities given volume of work.
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller or VP of Finance.
- Hybrid work schedule once training is complete.

**What you bring**
- 3+ years of experience in billing and receivable management
- Excellent communication skills.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
