**Who we are**:
Waste Control Service (WCS) is a private, locally owned, and operated recycling and waste management company offering solutions for sustainable management of all things waste. We offer collection services and consultation for both residential communities as well as commercial, industrial, and institutional organizations exclusively in the Greater Vancouver region. We have a head office and shop in Coquitlam B.C. and two recycling yards in North Vancouver where we primary process some of the recycling we regularly collect from our customers, which also operates as a recycling and secure shredding facility open to the community.

**Who we are looking for**:
Our team is growing, and we are seeking an enthusiastic individual to work out of our North Vancouver recycling facility. The position will report to our Recycling Manager and assist our recycling division with a range of duties such as look after recycling depot walk-ins & phones, and depending on the individual’s skillset and background, assist in several recycling projects.

**Schedule**:
9am-4pm Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Part-time summer position - Possibility to extend into a permanent part-time position (Saturday shift in fall)
21-24 hrs / week
- Approaches tasks with a ‘can-do’ attitude, is keen to learn, and is flexible to changing priorities.
- Works well with others and is also comfortable working independently.
- Is outgoing and enjoys talking to the public, and is comfortable answering questions about recycling, sustainability, and different options on how to handle materials as opposed to discarding or sending to landfill.
- Has knowledge of or experience in assisting with social media platforms and generating on-brand content for a business or organization, ideally in the recycling or waste industry.
- Has experience running recycling programs, sustainability initiatives, or similar community events.
- Has experience dealing with customers and monetary transactions.
- Pays attention to the details, is reliable, and motivated to help.
