**Summary**

A&H Custom Machine is seeking an **Assistant Controller **to perform full-cycle accounting, financial analysis, and management support at our manufacturing facility in Burlington, Ontario. **Responsibilities**
- Prepare monthly financial statements and related reporting
- Review/audit/analyze financial data
- Coordinate financial planning and budgeting processes
- Perform GL account reconciliation & analysis
- Prepare bank reconciliation, deposits, & filing
- Manage A/P processes including vendor setup, GL allocation, and payment processing
- Manage A/R processes including customer setup, billing and revenue recognition, and collections
- Provide payroll support by serving as a backup and bringing knowledge of payroll practices and processes
- Evaluate processes and systems, and recommend/implement improvements
- Ensure adherence to legal/compliance measures
- Liaise with government agencies, employees, customers, and vendors when required
- Assist in monthly closing and prepare ad hoc reports as required

**Requirements**:

- Undergraduate degree in business or commerce
- Holds CPA designation (or is in the latter stages of working towards the designation)
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience (experience in the manufacturing industry is strongly preferred)
- Solid understanding of the financial principles and functions of business
- Analytical thinker with good communication skills
- Well organized, detail-oriented, and consistently accurate
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency in completing tasks
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change
- Proficiency with MS Office, mainly Excel

**Salary**: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
