Overview
The Junior Purchasing Coordinator will provide support to the junior Purchasing Representatives and work closely with sales and operations to maintain the efficient flow of goods in and out of inventory. They are the main point of contact for the shared purchasing inbox.
**Cores Responsibilities**:
- Reviewing vendor order confirmations, verifying accuracy of pricing, product selection and ETA dates;
- Expediting
- Liaising between Sales and Operations
- Maintaining vendor quote files within AS400
- Acting as the main point of contact for rush orders
- Purchasing of assigned product lines
- Verifying product is ready for pick up before releasing pick up order to operations
**Secondary/Less Frequent Responsibilities**:
- Providing information/feedback to the Procurement Manager on vendor relations
- Developing relationship with vendors through verbal and written communication
- Identifying quantity buy opportunities that may be negotiated where possible, for improved profitability. Alternatively identify opportunities to senior purchaser to establish plan for further negotiation
- Assisting in rectifying shipping discrepancies from vendors

Mandatory Requirements
- Years of Experience: 0-2 with order facilitation and management
- Software/System Experience: Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, MS Lists, One Note - Intermediate Level)
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and fast paced work environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Business or Communications Degree
- Experience with AS400
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Plumbing and Heating Materials and Industry
