**Overview**
Food Gremlin has proudly served our community since 2020, and we’ve recently expanded into **Bearly’s House of Blues & Wings**—a bold, flavorful new location in the heart of Halifax on Grafton Street.
We are currently hiring **two part-time Line Cooks** to join our growing kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to grow with a business that’s on the rise and be part of something from the ground up.
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management by tracking stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food handling techniques and safety protocols.
**Skills**
- Proficient in food handling practices with a strong understanding of food safety regulations.
- Experience in the restaurant or food service industry is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Basic knowledge of meal preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
