The position of the **WaterJet CNC Operator** includes, but is not limited to daily operation of 5 axis waterjet table, custom fixturing, machine service & cleaning, prototype building. The use of various hand tools, machinery and equipment will be required. The WaterJet CNC Operator will work as part of a team with project managers and engineers to ensure continuous improvements in cutting. All are required to assist the engineering group with insight and knowledge of superior manufacturing methods, perform random maintenance on returned products to be refurbished or re-worked to customer specifications, and have strong knowledge and skill in operating a water jet table.

Job Duties:

- Operation of 5 axis waterjet table.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Input CAD models into waterjet control software.
- Enter material type, thickness, and desired edge finish.
- Produce sample cuts and set cutting parameters.
- Keep material inventory control up to date.
- Maintain safe work practices.
- General computer skills.
- Conduct Technical Inspections.
- Liaise with internal and external customers for resolution of data and technical problems.
- Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues.
- Prepare input for various management and log reports.
- Provide data to assist in monitoring and tracking project budgets and project status.
- Participate in project review and planning.
- Review blueprints and specifications; ensure drawings and specifications will function as designed in environment intended for use.
- Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology.
- Other assigned work as required.
