Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance Quality Assurance and working with the Maintenance Quality Assurance Team and Person Responsible for Maintenance, the Quality Assurance Specialist supports the effectiveness and continued improvement of the Maintenance Quality Assurance Program.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Conduct internal audits encompassing all functions and elements necessary to confirm that the Air Operator and Approved Maintenance Organization is in compliance with regulations and approved manualsAssist in maintaining detailed audit checklistsProvide support to Technical Operations Managers regarding the treatment of audit findings identified through the Maintenance Quality Assurance ProgramConduct external audits of third parties including but not limited to maintenance arrangements, manufacturers and overhaul/repair facilitiesAttend Maintenance Quality Assurance team meetings and Quarterly Audit Schedule meetingsActively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
- Other tasks as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- General knowledge of Transport Canada Canadian Aviation RegulationsFamiliarity with commercial flight operations and/or aircraft maintenance operationsDemonstrated knowledge and/or experience in quality management principles, quality assurance, and/or auditing techniques an assetEffective communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills; keen attention to detailExcellent analytical and problem solving skills-
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary airport security clearanceMust maintain a valid passport and be able to travel when requiredMandatory COVID-19 Vaccination
