**SHIFT / HOURS**: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 0800-1600 / FTE 0.70

**SALARY**: Master Collective, As Per Facilities Subsector Collective Agreement

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:This position reports to the Director of Care and/or designate.

Performs a variety of clerical and secretarial duties in support of nursing unit(s) and other areas.

**Duties include**:

- Reception
- Booking appointments
- Typing correspondence and other documents
- Data entry and collection
- Preparing and maintaining statistics
- Generating reports
- Calling in relief staff
- Maintaining timekeeping records
- Filing
- Ordering supplies
- Performs other related clerical duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training and Experience**:
Minimum Grade 12 education.

Medical Terminology and recognized Nursing Unit Clerk plus related experience, or an **equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.**

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related computer equipment.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Must be in good health, well-groomed and have physical capabilities compatible with walking, stooping, bending, and lifting.
