Job Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the work of crew members to ensure agricultural construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Assign tasks and monitor work progress to maintain quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders related to barn equipment, manure equipment, and barn structures.
- Oversee the installation of various equipment, including manure systems, ventilation, stabling, and more.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safety procedures.
- Train and mentor employees to enhance productivity and skill levels.
- Operate and maintain equipment as required for construction and installation tasks.
- Communicate effectively with management, subcontractors, and clients, including farmers and agricultural business owners.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, hours worked, and materials used.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during construction and equipment installation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Foreman or supervisory role in a construction setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or related certifications preferred).
- Strong knowledge of barn construction, framing, concrete work, and roofing.
- Experience with equipment installation, including manure systems, ventilation, and automation is considered an asset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
