Truck Driver

**Full Time: 8hrs/Day - Monday to Friday - Permanent Full-Time**

**Wage Range: $23.00 - $30.00/hr with Truck Run Daily Rate + LOA when applicable.**

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for transporting windows and other related products from a manufacturing facility or warehouse to customers, contractors or suppliers. Your primary role involves the safe and timely delivery of these items and ensuring they arrive in excellent condition. This role is critical in ensuring that windows and related products reach their destination safely, on time, and in good condition, making the driver a key part of the business's operations. In addition, you will play a part in supporting our day to day operations as part of our Installer team in the Courtenay branch. In this role you will put your skills to work by providing exemplary service in the following ways:
**Key Job Responsibilities**:

- Transportation of windows, glass, and other related materials to various job sites or customer locations.
- Ensure safe, timely, and accurate deliveries according to schedule.
- Loading, unloading and delivery of windows and other products to designated locations, sometimes requiring use of a forklift.
- Effective route planning and navigation to follow delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries, and minimizing fuel consumption.
- Utilize tablet and ERP software to track, validate, and confirm receipt and delivery of products.
- Responsible for vehicle maintenance by performing routine vehicle checks to ensure the truck is in good working condition, including checking oil, tires, lights, and brakes.
- Complete and maintain all required delivery logs, receipts, and reports.
- Ensure safety compliance and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Ability to work well with others and in a safe manner.
- Enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service to increase retention and satisfaction.
- Travel to customer locations to provide service, maintenance and installation support.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**:

- 1-2+ years’ experience operating delivery truck.
- Prior experience handling large and fragile items.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with both internal and external customers.
- Class 5 Drivers License; must provide an ICBC abstract.
- First Aid, WHIMIS, Forklift certification an asset but will be provided.

**Environmental & Physical/Mental Demands**:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (such as large windows) using proper lifting techniques.
- Making repetitive motions and may involve manual handling, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
- Bending or twisting the body.
- Lifting up to 45 kg +(100 lbs).
- This job involves working outdoors, driving for long periods, and exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required, as deliveries could occur early in the morning or late in the day, depending on the route.

**Total Pay Package**:Competitive compensation and extended benefits plan including, health and dental available at 6 months.
