Due to our continued growth, DarkVision is looking for an enthusiastic and driven **Purchasing and Materials Coordinator** to join our manufacturing operations team. This newly created position will play a critical role in managing the procurement and management of parts and materials used in our advanced ultrasonic imaging tools.

The position requires a talented and keen individual who is customer service oriented, relationship-focused, and highly organized. While experience in a high-tech manufacturer of electro-mechanical products would be nice, your flexibility to take on anything and everything, and ability to work well and influence change with internal and external stakeholders will be your key to success.

There will be a wide assortment of standard and not-so-standard tasks that you may be expected to complete inside and outside the typical purchasing and materials management umbrella. In our rapid growth environment, we value individuals with strong entrepreneurial spirits who share in our belief that that no task will be either above or beneath you or anyone else in the company.

**Responsibilities**:
This position will be responsible for all production procurement and inventory management aspects. Additionally, you will help with R&D purchases and assist in logistics and QA while the team grows.
- Issue and track purchase orders with our partners and suppliers
- Setup and manage restocking programs for commodity parts
- Manage inventory of electronic and mechanical components, including incoming quality checks and vendor feedback
- Generate pick lists and assemble (kit) materials for internal and external assembly
- Assist with shipping logistics, including receiving inventory, shipping equipment to remote teams, and preparing international shipping paperwork
- Participate in production forecasting and planning
- Work with engineering on parts obsolescence/substitutions, expedites, ECRs, and risk mitigation strategies

**Expectations**:

- 2+ years in procurement roles, ideally in mechanical or electronics manufacturing
- Knowledge of mechanical and electronics supply chains is an asset
- Experience with forecasting and demand planning is an asset
- Strong influencer and change leader
- Strong customer service orientation
- Able to build and maintain good relationships with vendors
- Flexible and adaptable
- Ability to effectively prioritize and plan work while managing multiple concurrent activities
- Experience with ERP tools and CPIM certification are considered assets
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the position by lifting and moving items up to 10kg
