About You / What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
At least 5 years of progressive professional Planning experience, preferably in a municipal setting. A university degree in a related discipline is a requirement, alongside membership or eligibility for membership in a professional association (e.g. Planning Institute of British Columbia; Canadian Institute of Planners) is preferred, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid British Columbia Driver's License (or equivalent) is a requirement.
The ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees, consultants and the public, are essential to the incumbent’s success.
Preferred Qualifications
A graduate degree in Community and Regional Planning is desired. Proven experience in long-range urban planning project management and leading the development of land use visions and plans, urban redevelopment, transit-oriented and ‘greenfield’ development, urban design, and social and multicultural planning will also be considered an asset.
What We Offer:
This CUPE position has an hourly rate of $61.29 - $72.55. The rate of pay is based on a variety of factors including qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills.

Additionally, there is an opportunity to participate in an earned day off/flex day program. This position is based in Coquitlam with some flexible, hybrid work options available.
