Detailed Overview:
We hire great people for outstanding jobs and need your help to expand the ability to deliver prompt and professional service. We are looking for a** Casual Unit Clerk** to provide support within Jim Pattison Outpatient Care & Surgery Centre, Royal Columbian Hospital
and Surrey Memorial Hospital located in **Surrey, B.C.**
**Responsibilities**:
- Performing related clerical duties such as data entry, filing, compiling, preparing and maintaining statistics including related reports
- Scheduling, booking and coordinating patient appointments
- Acting as a communication link for the assigned area by contacting other facilities and departments
- Assembling and maintaining patient charts according to established procedures while transcribing patient data into applicable health record system
- Maintaining timekeeping records for regular and casual staff and submitting/entering to payroll system as required.
Qualifications:
**Education and Experience**
- Completion of grade 12 and medical terminology
- Graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program
- One (1) year of recent related experience
- **An equivalent combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.**
**Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to keyboard at 40 w.p.m.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
