**Job Summary**

The Food and Beverage Bartender / Server, under the direction of the F&B Supervisor, will primarily be responsible to adhere to and enforce all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, and legislation regarding health and safety, food & beverage service standards, and company policies and procedures. This position will be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism by following the company dress code. This position is the conduit between our Membership and The Barrie Country Club, you are required to maintain a professional demeanor, and attitude at all times.

**Job Duties**
- Adhere to and enforce all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, and legislation regarding health and safety, food preparation standards, and company policies and procedures
- Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism by following the company dress code and service standards.
- Be present and on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Protect the health and safety of others by adopting safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions immediately
- Greet Members and Guest with a smile and answer their questions as required. Must be able to use the Members name whenever possible
- Proactively attend to Members complaints in a professional manner and inform Management of any concerns.
- Follow all AGCO law requirements.
- Maintain familiarity with the composition of all menu items
- Assist Members on selection of food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails and aperitifs; suggesting courses’ explaining the Chef’s specials; identifying appropriate wines; and answering food preparation questions.
- Transmits accurate orders to the bars and kitchen using Jonas, identifying Members special request and dietary requirements.
- Ensuring that the appropriate meals are being delivered to each member/guest, by using appropriate seat numbers and delivering your own food when time allows.
- Responds to additional members requirement by inquiring of needs, quality checking each table and observing the dining process
- Maintain table cleanliness, by removing courses as completed, removing dirty or extra utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to members spills or any other special need
- Ensure all equipment and tools are being used safely and according to provided direction
- Ensure food is handled and, stored according to health and safety standards, and that proper cleanup occurs to meet health regulations
- Follow the appropriate steps of service, that the Barrie Country Club has implemented.
- Compile and balance receipts at the end of the day/shift,
- Set tables according to established standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repair
- Assist Team Members as needed during peak times
- Help to raise the standards within the restaurant and bring new concepts forth
- Other duties may be assigned as required by Management

**Job Requirements**
- Strong working knowledge of food services industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of members and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated time management skills
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment
- Must have a reliable transportation method to and from work.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
