**About Us**:
Located in Scarborough Ontario, Kobay Enstel Limited is a quality manufacturer of automotive stampings and sub-assemblies. Currently operating in a 137,000 sq. ft. facility, Kobay specializes in the manufacture of intricate progressive die stampings, mig welded sub-assemblies, and nut welding.
We are currently recruiting for a Welding Technician to join our team
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Work in compliance with all _Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario_ including Environmental laws as well as Kobay's Enstel Limited Health & Safety Procedures.
- Able to troubleshoot welding/robot issues.
- Able to perform repairs to weld tooling and robot performance issues within the weld cell.
- Able to perform changeovers and set up to achieve the quality standards required at Kobay.
- Programs and resets Robotic Welder for each frame size change. Reboots the system, when required.
- Modifies computer-controlled robot programs / movements.
- Develops robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Welds components in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
- Aligns, fits, or assembles component parts using hand tools, power tools into fixtures/templates.
- Reads and interprets welding symbols and engineering drawings with mínimal errors.
- Able to visually identify poor weld quality and make the necessary adjustments
- Helps to perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment and welding fixtures.
- Able to discuss issues and receive suggestions with other team members of multiple disciplines including managers, supervisor and team leaders.
- Stores equipment and tools when not in use.
- Responsible to produce quality parts according to customer specifications.
- Maintain / produces a level of output that will minimize production delays.
**Knowledge Experience & Education**
- Minimum of three years as a Welding Technician in an automotive environment preferably in stamping and welding
- Diploma, certificate in welding or CWB certificates In MIG (GMAW) with 3-5 years of experience in the robotic welding technician role
- College degree in a related field in Manufacturing Engineering Technology - Welding and Robotics
- Attention to detail is key, ability to identify tasks, and timing to meet end requirements.
- Good knowledge of welding processes.
- Knowledge of technical controls and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Kuka, Fanuc, and ABB robot programming
- Communicates effectively with all associates.
- Must have excellent knowledge in regards to MIG (GMAW) welding techniques and theory
- Good understanding of welding quality and interpreting cross-sectional areas of failures.
**Work Conditions**

- Ability to concentrate on tasks through loud noise and interruptions.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Manual dexterity and the ability to remain standing, crouching or bending for long periods of time.
- Able to handle stressful situations
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- May be exposed to hot / cold temperatures
- Able to work overtime as required
- Some travel may be required
