**JOB DESCRIPTION**

VWR Capital Corp. is a small but dynamic financial services company headquartered in Langley, BC. We are seeking a full-time Mortgage Underwriter to join our growing team.

VWR Capital Corp. (VWR) traces its roots back to the early 1990s when our founder and CEO saw the opportunity to establish a Mortgage Investment Corporation (MIC). Today, VWR has a portfolio of over a half billion in mortgages under administration across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work closely with your co-workers and our clients to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
- As a team player you will share your underwriting expertise to support your co-workers, Business Development Managers and mortgage brokers by maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of company policies, procedures and product offerings.
- Provide ongoing communication with brokers and staff maintaining the highest level of internal and external customer service while addressing inquiries, providing status updates, and offer clarification on underwriting decisions.
- Ensure accurate and complete record-keeping, including communication with brokersregarding missing or incomplete information.

- Have 3 - 5+ years experience as an underwriter or relevant industry experience.
- Mortgage Agent/Mortgage Broker license (preferred).

**COMPENSATION DETAILS**
- Full-Time Position
- Salary compensation paid semi-monthly, $65,000.00-$70,000.00 based on experience
- Office-based position out of our Langley location
- Hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm PST
- Extended Health Benefits + Health Spending Account provided after 3 months

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Underwriting: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
