Join our team as a **Vocational Counsellor** working at our Solutions Employment Services, located in beautiful Ladner. This **permanent full-time **role has a starting wage of **$23.10 per hour**, plus benefits including participation in the Municipal Pension Plan.

**About the Opportunity**

As a full-time **Vocational Counsellor**, you will be actively supporting individuals with developmental disabilities obtain employment. You will be responsible for:

- Developing and structuring relevant and meaningful options based on needs and preferences of the client and the needs of the employer,
- Assisting clients with resume building and distribution,
- Marketing our services and building relationships with potential employers to support employment,
- Developing personal networks and social capital by attending community events,
- Facilitating on-the-job coaching,
- Obtaining knowledge of Community Resources required to facilitate opportunities,
- Submitting proposals and creative problem solving, and
- Administrative tasks including maintaining records.

The typical hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. **This role requires flexibility including early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on program and client needs.**
